Legal or Litigation Investigator

We work to uncover new evidence, verify existing facts, and find key witnesses.

Legal or Litigation Investigator

If you have been charged with a crime you did not commit, you might assume that the legal system will uncover the truth. Unfortunately, once the police conclude their investigation, gathering new evidence, finding witnesses, and strengthening your defence is left to you and your legal team. That’s where Red Dragon Private Investigations comes in.

Our team includes highly experienced investigators, many with backgrounds in civilian and military police forces, who specialise in criminal defence investigations. We work to uncover new evidence, verify existing facts, and find key witnesses to ensure that your side of the story is fully represented.

We Believe in Your Innocence

We approach every case with the firm belief that you are innocent until proven guilty. By operating from this standpoint, we often uncover new lines of inquiry that the original police investigation may have overlooked—giving your defence team the strongest possible position in court.

How to Get Started

The first step is a confidential consultation, which can take place either at our office or at the offices of your legal representatives.

At this meeting, we will need:

  • A written instruction authorising us to investigate on your behalf.
  • As many details as possible about your case.
  • Ideally, a copy of the pre-disclosure file that the CPS intends to use in prosecution.

How Long Does a Legal or Litigation Investigation Take?

This depends entirely on the complexity of the case. Legal proceedings move slowly, and you may have already waited months before learning of the charges against you. While we cannot promise instant results, you will have a dedicated professional investigator working on your case for as long as necessary—or possible.

What Will You Receive?

At the conclusion of the investigation, you or your legal representative will receive a comprehensive evidence bundle, which may include:

  • Newly discovered evidence
  • Verification of existing evidence
  • Witness statements
  • Detailed reports (verbal or written) in the required format

How Much Does a Legal or Litigation Investigation Cost?

  • Our standard rate is £95 per hour per investigator, plus expenses.
  • A detailed cost estimate will be provided before any work begins—nothing proceeds without approval.

Martin from Pontypool

I was caught up in a complicated legal dispute and needed evidence that my solicitor couldn’t get through normal channels. The investigator knew exactly what to look for and how to gather it legally and ethically. Their report was clear and incredibly helpful for my case. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again if needed.

Take Control of Your Defence

Don’t assume that the legal system will uncover the truth on its own. If you need new evidence, witness statements, or an independent investigation, we’re here to help. Contact us today to arrange a meeting—either at our office or at your legal representative’s premises.
